Rapping Heifer's Backstory

Warmest greetings! My name is Dr Haleemah X (PhD), and I'm an interdisciplinary artist and scholar. Rapping Heifer is an independent musical-film production company created by me. Through Rapping Heifer, I self fund my productions without any external constraints and limitations. Rapping Heifer was born through my desire to create the artistic work and scholarship that I love without having to significantly conform, which let's be honest, I was never going to do in the first instance.

It is imperative that we continue to create visibility of our narratives and open dialogue around our intersectional identities and how creating from spaces of heritage, and through musical languages such as rap, enrich our storytelling practices, and the way we navigate our interpersonal relationships.
